Type of PerSon

30th of Nov, 2008 Sunday

Finally our part time lecturer start class after gone out of action for nearly one month. This lecturer likes to talk nonsense a (吹水) alot. Bla Bla Bla this and Blek Blek Blek that, but with this his class will never be boring.

Today he teaches us some theory. I found it a bit useful. One of them caught my attention...
"Belbin's Eight Team Roles". This theory talks about how a team should be form from different type of person to fully produce maximum effort on a thing or matter.

These includes :
Plant - Creative and able to produce ideas
Shaper - Able to whip up enthusiasm & to motivate the team
Monitor - Able to objectivey appraise ideas & to keep control on critical problems
Resource investigator - operate a good network of controls & good at resourcing ideas
Chairperson - Coordinate & listener. Good at drawing people out & summarising ideas for agreement
Team worker - Willing to support & develop other people's ideas & encourage working together towards common goals
Finisher - Have a great eye for spotting flaws and gaps and for knowing exactly where the team is in relation to its schedule
Implementer - create systems and processes that will produce what the team wants. Taking a problem and working out how it can be practically addressed is their strength

After looking and understanding, I think i am a teamworker. I dont know how to create new plans, only know how to upgraed the original plans. Not a shaper as i lack of enthusiasm, in short i am a LAZY person. Monitor, duh i hate monitor people, i only get my job done when is needed. Resource investgator, oh well this is the worst part of me. CHairperson, don't have the ability to make decision on something. Finisher is impossible, as i am too afraid to make or voice up suggestion before completing the works. Implementer, as a lazy worm cant think of anything to help the team Zzz Zzz....

What type of person are u ???
U really should think about it now.
One team may not need two same type person...
